N.E Washington Health Program Integrates Primary Care
at the Colville Dental Site.
N.E. Washington Health Programs (NEWHP) will open a new medical site, Colville Community Health Center, January 2015. Incorporated in 1978, NEWHP is a not-for-profit organization currently serving the Tri-County area with three dental and seven medical sites. The mission of the organization is to ensure that a comprehensive range of high quality health care services is available to best meet the health care needs of the people residing in the service area. The Colville site will integrate medical, dental and pharmacy services.
The Colville Community Health Center will join our other NEWHP medical sites as a Patient Centered Medical Home. This approach offers patients a team-based model of care led by a personal provider who provides continuous, coordinated, and evidence based care throughout a patient’s lifetime to maximize healthy outcomes. The Colville CHC will have an integrated model with a primary care provider, a dental provider and a pharmacist to ensure that “whole person” care can be achieved. In addition patients will have electronic access to their medical records through our NEWHP patient portal.
Clinical site services include: preventive care, well child exams, well women/men exams, DOT physicals, basic lab services and 340-B pharmacy. At NEWHP patients are accepted regardless of their ability to pay; uninsured patients can access the sliding discount program or speak to an Affordable Care Act insurance enrollment specialist. Medicaid, Medicare, and a variety of commercial insurance plans are also accepted.
NEWHP plans a gradual acceptance of new patients at the new site to ensure quality care integration. The community is asked for understanding and patience during this transition.
If you are in immediate need of services, please contact one of our sister facilities.
